We all ruminate from time to timeāthose looping thoughts that wonāt seem to let go. One reason this happens? We donāt feel seen, heard, or valued. When we ignore our needs, our minds will keep circling the āyuckā until we listen. So hereās a way to intentionally give yourself that attention: 1ļøā£ Grab two pens, each a different color. 2ļøā£ In one color, write down all the yuckāthe thoughts, the upset, the frustration. Let it all out, no filter. 3ļøā£ Walk away for a bit, and set the intention to return with curiosity instead of judgment. 4ļøā£ When you come back, use the second color to respond as your own best friend or coach. What are these feelings trying to tell you? Can you identify the need beneath the rumination? When we take time to truly listen to ourselves, those looping thoughts often soften. Rumination isnāt just mental noiseāitās a signpost guiding you toward unmet needs. āØ Be patient, be kind, and trust your own wisdom. The answers are there when you take the time to listen.
