“Past Christmases, I didn’t have a Christmas because... it was just another day of using, it was nothing different. But when I was at Maddie’s Place, it was very special.”   Mary lived at Maddie’s Place during the holiday season with her son last year. Having been introduced to drugs at a young age, it was her first sober Christmas.  She remembers how joyful everyone was, wishing her a merry Christmas and loving on her and her son.  “All the people at Maddie’s Place, they care for us like family.”  Now, Mary is eagerly looking forward to her first Christmas out on her own with her son. She has been surrounded by a wonderful community and can’t wait to experience the holiday in the healthiest version of herself.  Her story is an inspiration, and we hope that other parents might experience that same redemptive healing at Maddie’s Place.   #maddiesplace #forthebabies #forthemoms #nas #spokane #spokanewashington #easternwashington #spokanenonprofit #nonprofit #hopedealers #donate #volunteer #hope #WeDoRecover #soberchristmas #christmas #holidays #family #fyp #reel #fypage
What are you excited for in the new year?   The future is looking bright for these parents whose infants stayed at Maddie’s Place! Hopeful in their recovery and thankful for the chance to be a mom or dad, they are eagerly anticipating new beginnings, further education, moving into homes, and so many other things! And we can’t wait to watch it all unfold.   #maddiesplace #forthebabies #forthemoms #nas #spokane #spokanewashington #easternwashington #spokanenonprofit #nonprofit #hopedealers #reel #fyp #foryou #fypage  #happynewyear #newyear #2025 #WeDoRecover #parenting #newparents #baby #hope
For some of our parents, this holiday season is their first sober in a very long time. Some of those parents were homeless before Maddie’s Place, doing whatever they could to survive. So, when a parent comes to our home, all the kindness and support is a bit of a shock. We want to meet them right where they are at and provide a space for them and their infant to heal.   So, one of the ways we seek to make the holidays a little brighter for our parents is a Christmas photo shoot of their babies! These pictures bring them so much joy and give them memories to last a lifetime.   *All babies filmed in this video have media consent from their biological parent* #maddiesplace #forthebabies #forthemoms #nas #spokane #spokanewashington #easternwashington #spokanenonprofit #nonprofit #hopedealers #reel #fyp #foryou #fypage #photoshoot #baby #photos #photography
