hostingguests hashtag performance

#HostingGuests captures the joys and stresses of opening your home. It showcases delicious food, fun activities, awkward moments, and heartwarming memories. From prep to post-party, it's a relatable glimpse.
Please forgive me, people of France, Germany, and Switzerland, for calling this "reverse fondue". Yes, I know that fondue isn't technically just melted cheese, but when you think about it, fondue is dipping stuff in cheese and raclette is pouring cheese on top of stuff so it's *kinda* like reverse fondue. Raclette is a very popular winter and holiday meal in the Alps region. It's named after the type of French cheese that you're supposed to use. When we're hosting guests and want to impress them with a fun meal, we break out the raclette grill and I'm always surprised at how few people have heard of it! We fed the kids an early dinner, got them to bed and then settled down for a couple hours around the Raclette grill! Here is what we used to make this happen: @swissmar_official Raclette grill Meat: Chicken, steak, salami, shrimp Cheese: Havarti, muenster, white cheddar (Traditionally, you're supposed to use raclette cheese) Veg and Fruit: Mushrooms, onions, tomatoes, pickles, pineapple (we've also added fresh garlic, zucchini, olives, apples, and asparagus before) Misc: Hollandaise sauce, herbed butter to cook the meat in, bread, potatoes It's fun to cook the potatoes/bread with the cheese and veg underneath the grill where (you melt the cheese) as well. If you are in the Kansas City area, I'm sure there is somewhere where you can find raclette cheese but on short notice in my area of town, nada. . . . #kelsewhatelse #raclette #raclettedinner #midwestmom #hostingguests #dinnerparty
