induction day 👶🏻 going into it, i was so nervous. i knew whatever happened, it was the best decision for me & baby. i praise God for this safe & smooth delivery ❤️ my labor was 6 hours with 10 minutes of pushing! i got admitted at 12:15pm but because of my small veins, they couldn’t get started on anything until the IV was placed. i requested the IV team since my veins kept blowing last time around so i made sure it didn’t happen again 🥲 1:50am - IV placed & cervix check (1cm dilated) 2:00am - foley bulb placed (helped me get dilated to 3cm) & pitocin started at a low dose 2:20am - i started feeling contraction pain so i couldn’t sleep (i had an all nighter 💤) 3am - foley bulb removed & pitocin dose increased 430am - another cervix check and i was 4cm dilated. i got my epidural because the pain was getting difficult to breathe through 5:25am - they broke my water & pitocin was increased again 6:05am - contractions were 2-3 mins apart 7:20am - another cervix check and i was at 10cm & baby was at station 3+, meaning she’s at the lowest she can be i told them i had a lot of rectal pressure which is a sign baby is ready!!) 8:07am - i started pushing 8:17am - baby girl made her arrival! #newborn #newbornbaby #induction #inductionday #motherhood #postpartum #momlife #iugr #38weeks #38weekspregnant
