I love cooking, especially when I cook for others. Its my love langauge. One if my favorite things to make is a good & heart beef stew. My kids constantly ask for it, and when my friends taste it for the first time, they love it! I usually make it in my instapot (I LOVE THAT THING!), but i recently brought a Ninja Speedi (for only $25 at that! Its originally $199), and that is an airfryer, and rapid cooker/steamer/crisper all in one. The prep is relatively quick, mainly chopping up the veggies and the meat, then searing the meat first (you dont have to do this, but it gives the meat more flavor). So heres my quick recipe: 1.5-2lbs if beef chuck roast 3-4 celery stalks 1 16 oz bag of baby carrots 1 16 oz of frozen peas (or canned if you prefer) 1-2 red onions A bag of baby potatoes (i get the ones that have the red and yellow tomatoes). Seasonings & minced garlic 1 box of beef broth or stock Now, how to make it! 1) First, pat dry your meat, then cut the roast into chunks about 1inchx1inch 2) With the chunks in a bowl, pour about 2 teaspons of olive oil in. Now season it with onion powder, garlic powder, Italian herbs, 2 packets of goya sázon, and about a teaspoon of black pepper (season until the ancestors say "thats enough my child") 3) Rub that all over the meat thoroughly, and place to side. 4) Dice the red onions and put to the side 5) chop the celery stalks into about 1/2" pieces 6) chop the baby carrots in half 7) chop the baby potatoes in half, or in quarters -Turn the instapot onto saute. And add abiut 2tblspoons of butter. Once melted, place the beef into the pot and sear all sides. Remove them and place to side -With the settings still on sear, add 1 tablespoon if butter and just a little dash of beef stock into the pot. Use a wooden spoon to scrape the slightly burned bits of beef. -Add the onions to the pot, and let them saute until they are somewhat translucent. Add 2-3 tablespoons of minced garlic to the pot, and let that cook for Bout 5 minutes while mixing it in the pot. -Now add your meat, chopped veggies, chopped potatoes, bag of peas, to the instapot, and thoroughky mix it all up. -Pour in the entire box (which i think is 6cups?) in, and thoroughly mix it together *Now its time dor the secret* Instead of using worchestshire sauce, I ise A1 steak sauce 😏 Pour a couple of tablespoons of A1 in and mix. -Put the instapot lid on, make sure the valve is set to sealing -Then select Pressure Cook", and set the time for one hour -When its done, let the steam release naturally And youre done!!! If you want to thicken the stew, make a slurry of equal parts corn starch and water, mix that together, then mox it into the stew. I usally do abiut 3-4 tblspoons of cornstarch. And enjoy!!!
