Subconscious Mind Power: I often find that we’re professionals of color struggle or freeze up in an interview. It is simply because trying to speak about yourself in a high regard creates conflict internally because you’re not used to boasting about accomplishments or providing clarity as to why you deserve the role. This creates internal conflict as it feels unnatural to you. So trying to speak in the interview feels like a struggle. join me in my upcoming Masterclass where I’ll be live helping you to redirect this energy so that you understand what power stances are and understand how to introduce authority into the interview surrounding your skill set so that you eliminate freezing or stumbling. These are my 10 best job interview tips that have landed me some really great positions! ✏️Be sure to follow these interview tips: 1. Make sure you thoroughly research the company you are interviewing at! You want to go into the interview as if you already work there and have knowledge on their core values, products, and company mission statement. 2. Be a stalker! Look up the people or person who will be interviewing you on LinkedIn under the company name prior to your interview to see what they do in their roles and what they like best about their job. 3. Dress to impress! Wear a business professional outfit. I recommend a dress shirt, trousers, and a freshly-ironed blazer. 4. Firmly shake hands when you meet the interviewer and hold steady eye contact throughout the interview - this shows confidence and interest. 5. Speak slowly and clearly to avoid sounding nervous and to make sure you know what you are saying in the moment; not stuttering or fumbling your words. 6. Sit up straight - good posture also shows confidence! 7. Listen well to what the other person is asking you and telling you about the company - along with preparing questions to ask at the end, if you listen closely to what they are telling & asking you, this will help you actively generate more questions and help you get clarity on the job expectations. 8. Respond to each question accordingly. Try to avoid going down any rabbit holes and answer each question to the best of your ability. 9. Make sure to ask insightful questions at the end of the interview when the interviewer asks you; “do you have any questions for me?”. This is your chance to show your interest in the position and lock it down. 10. Don’t forget to smile! 😊 #interviewtips #interviewtipsandtricks #landthatjob #jobinterviewtips #jobtips #confidentwomen #interviewhelp #Lemon8
