Storytime: On our way to the Aruba airport to head back to Massachusetts, I decided to stop by a department store to grab a new pair of socks—because I love wearing fuzzy socks while flying. As I walked into the store, I didn’t notice a small ramp covered by a carpet, and before I knew it, I fell hard, twisting my ankle. It was a horrible fall, and I ended up flat on my stomach and face. The store owner and staff rushed over to help me, but I told them not to touch me and asked them to get my husband, who was waiting in the car. Hubby and the boys came rushing in, and with their help, I managed to get up. Determined not to miss our flight, I convinced hubby to continued on to the airport. But my husband quickly improvised an ice pack to help with the swelling, and I had to be in a wheelchair from check-in all the way onto the plane. The same went for getting off the plane when we landed. We go to Aruba twice a year, but this trip was very different. From being sick, to losing my goddaughter, and then this fall—it felt like one challenge after another. Despite all that, there were still bright moments. I ran into some of my followers at the airport, and it was a pleasure to meet them and take a picture. And of course, as I always do, I stopped by the jewelry store in the airport to add a new piece to my collection. Hubby said he knew it would make me feel better—and he was absolutely right (I will share that in another post). Now that we’re back home in Massachusetts, my foot is still swollen. Every time I think about that fall, I can’t believe how it happened—or how it felt as I went down 😞 🎥 by our son Ziv 💎✈️💖
