Think about it like grade school ! You couldn’t do the type of math you did in 5th grade in the 1st grade. You had to build up to that point. And even if the next weight session one of those 3 sets is a full set of that new weight boom ! That’s progressive overload and as time goes on 2/3 sets new weight 3/3 sets new weight then when that gets too doable you start it all over again ! My rule for myself is 4 to 5 exercises of lifting. And the last exercise of weighted marches. I start with 10 minutes of cardio and 30 to 45 minutes on the stairmaster since I’ve started the stairmaster challenge !
