We try to keep things as light and happy as possible on here, but the truth is we see a lot of heavy sadness and devastation behind the scenes here that we don't always share. ❤️‍🩹 So far, we've only shown you the adorable and happy side of Kabocha the kitty we are raising medical funds for... But there's a whole other side we haven't shown you yet. Kabocha can go from his amazing adorable thriving self to having these very scary episodes within minutes. We won't share his actual episodes because they're just too sad to watch... But here's a video of the aftermath of one of his episodes - 1 hour before this, he was playing and making biscuits loving his life. You can see in this video he doesn't look like the thriving kitten we've been showing you... He drools profusely, his eyes are dilated, with possible seizure-like activity, he shows neurological signs, his whole body trembles, he won't eat, he's scared and often hides in his litter box, he doesn't recognize us or find comfort in our care at that time which is difficult for those of us who love him. 🥺💔 It takes him a while to bounce back and all we can do is watch helplessly. We have to be incredibly careful about what he eats and what cleaners and chemicals are used around him. So far all of our tests have led us to believe he has a liver shunt that may require surgery but the only way to know for sure is to get him the CT scan which he is currently scheduled for on February 25th at Animal Surgical Center of Michigan. We are still raising money, but so far, we're only about 35% to our goal. He goes one week from today. Please keep sharing. 🙏 Kabocha is only 6 months old and full of life.
