#creatorsearchinsights AUTISM MOM POV: As we close out 2024, I want to share something truly meaningful to me. While many are reflecting on their achievements, I’m celebrating something deeply personal ✨Phillip’s incredible progress.✨ This time last year, we were in the midst of a behavioral crisis that lasted two long, challenging years. We couldn’t imagine enjoying simple moments in public spaces due to his extreme aggressive behavior. But here we are today, experiencing what felt impossible not too long ago. Phillip has come such a long way, navigating and even enjoying crowded public places. (At least that’s what we’re taking from this experience!) To anyone going through a hard time: don’t give up. This moment you’re in—no matter how heavy—will pass. Never lose hope in your situation, your kids, and most importantly, in yourself. Believe in your ability to overcome because you are stronger than you realize. This year, I’m celebrating our wins, big and small, because they represent resilience, faith, and love. And I couldn’t have done it without you. Your constant love and support gave us strength, hope, and one more reason to keep going. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Here’s to hope, healing, and believing in ourselves. Happy New Year, my loves. 💖 #livingwithautism

#livingwithautism I want to give a HUGE S/O to the team working on Friday Night December 27th. They understood Phillip needed special accommodations and didn’t hesitate to give him the most wonderful experience. 🩵 Thank you so much for making our night! Xo @ICON Park

Replying to @Michelle M. To all the parents out there: it’s okay to prioritize your child’s happiness over societal expectations. Our son Phillip, who is autistic, knew exactly what he wanted✨a Little Mermaid wand✨ When we visited Disney Springs, he confidently chose the wand over any “boy” toy, and we supported him wholeheartedly. Seeing him walk around with the biggest smile, living his best life, was all the reassurance we needed. Yes, we noticed the stares and judgment from others. It was uncomfortable for a moment, but their opinions quickly faded into the background as Phillip’s joy shone brighter than anything else. Parenting isn’t about pleasing others, t’s about celebrating our children for who they are and giving them the freedom to embrace what makes them happy. Seeing Phillip’s pure delight reminded us that his happiness is far more important than any societal standard. Let’s teach our children to be themselves and let’s remind ourselves to do the same. #livingwithautism #parentingtips #autismacceptance
