On November 23rd 2022, Carlitos' life was cut short by a drunk driver on the intersection of Mcpherson and Saunders in Laredo, Tx. Even after 2 years, we are still in the process of court dates, getting ready for a trial. Carlitos was only 23 years old at the time of his passing. He had a contagious smile, very charismatic, you immediately connected with his personality. He was employeed by Home Depot for many years and was a cherished member of his family and friends. Carlitos grew up in Laredo, Tx and graduated from Martin High School, he was a football player, loved the outdoors, swimming, riding his bike and hanging out with his friends. He joined the gym lost over 50+ lbs, he was very determined because his goal was to join the Marines. He wanted to serve our country. He was also a donor, a decision he made shortly before his departure. Such a selfless act to save many other lives, that's just the kind of person he was. His death was too soon and we are currently gathering funds to help his family with expenses and to take the person responsible to court and fight for justice. Any amount would help Carlitos' parents with this unexpected financial burden. Please help in any way you can; every dollar counts. I could have never imagined something like this would happen to my baby. This has absolutely devastated anyone who had got to know Willow before the crash and loved and was loved by Willow. This has has ruined Willows life before she even had the opportunity to really start her life. This happened one month before her 7th birthday. Drunk driving is a 100% preventable crime. If our drunk driver Pedro took the offer of his friends to stay and sober up with them Willow would not have a severe brain injury. If Pedro’s wife held him accountable and didn’t allow him to drive not only herself but their 3 daughters while he was severely intoxicated, not only would Willow be ok, but Pedro wouldn’t be behind bars for 20 years. Don’t be like Pedro. Get a fucking ride share, stay at a friends house. Be responsible. Vehicles are massive machinery. Respect others on the road, and respect your loved ones by not getting behind the wheel intoxicated!! Willow didn’t deserve this….and neither did Pedro’s children.
