No one really talks about our humanity and how we ALL fall short every single day. PS there is no tea. I saw this quote on tik tok, read through the comments, and I thought wait that’s me too. I show you only a part of me on socials but I know I fall short and I know I haven’t “reached it”. We all have misrepresented Christ one way or another. I haven’t arrived. I have not reached perfection and that’s so beautiful to take in. Sometimes it’s good to sit in our weakness and really is humbling. It keeps us so dependent on HIM. It’s bittersweet because we really do fall short, but God remains. He restores us every time we fail. To look at our humanity and imperfections is beautiful because it leaves you in pure awe of God’s grace. We’re so undeserving. We will continue to fall short. Please read my heart, this isn’t about “Oh i’ll always fall short so I stop trying to pursue godliness” etc. NO, I’m not excusing anything. We are called to represent Christ and not be stumbling blocks. We are called to train for godliness. It’s possible!! But my point is to highlight the beauty of Jesus and the Cross. I fall short every. single. day. I say things I shouldn’t. I act in ways I shouldn’t. I think in a way that is messy. I’m being perfected day by day in the image of Christ like scritpure says. & knowing how short I fall each day keeps me grounded on the cross. I need of his grace and mercy every single day. and this isn’t about feeling condemend or guilty. I just know this is reality. There is beauty in knowing how short we fall and how he picks us up every single time when we go to Him. We are in a beautiful process of being molded. Let’s represent Jesus in everyway we can. & when we fall, and we will, let’s run to Him for restoration. 🤍 If you can, read Romans 7:15-25 & the post, I mean it from the bottom of my heart. 🤍
