Part 2: Birth Story Continued... Even though I'm usually an open book, I am not much of a "blogger." But I’m I'm grateful I scrambled to capture many of these candid moments of our final labor journey to look back on. My water broke at 6:30 AM in bed – déjà vu from Siah's labor. We started the baby mama dance to help shift my mindset. Then did labor prep movements (thankful I'd kept up with those workouts since baby girl was already in LOA position!) Josh made breakfast while our boys painted my belly to celebrate their sister's arrival 🥺 Many people mentioned they found the boys energy overwhelming in my last birth story, but that excited, chaotic energy brought me such comfort and normalcy. Despite doing things to progress me – walks, reading, nipple stimulation, foot massages, and quiet time with Josh – my contractions stayed at 7-10 minutes apart and it was 2pm. I had to call my mom to take the boys. Reality hit: this was happening, and I needed to surrender to it. My labor was stalling because I was in such denial – angry, even, about this chapter closing unexpectedly. Once I worked through those unprocessed emotions (lots of tears), real labor began and my doula took over with birth footage. While this might not be the most polished birth blog, these authentic snippets mean everything to me. Watching my boys fall completely in love with their baby sister has been so healing. Can't wait to see their relationship bloom 💕
