I remember those early years when my kids were little—it felt like survival mode. Having so many children close in age took a serious toll on my mental and physical health. I don’t remember much from that time because I was just trying to get through each day. Sometimes, I wish I could relive those moments with the energy, clarity, and joy I have now. I wish I had been in a better space mentally and physically to truly soak it all in. Now, I’m down over 100 pounds and my energy is back I can be present, engaged, and excited for all the memories ahead—not just with my kids but with their families now too. My biggest fear was my grand babies having memories of me just laying in bed or sitting out of activities or being too tired to get down on the floor and play. I’m so thankful that is not the case.
