Meet muralist Patrick Henry Johnson, the artist behind this larger-than-life portrait of the influential Black architect Paul Revere Williams. This mural is one of many public art commissions for Destination Crenshaw, a community development project that will stretch 1.3 miles along Crenshaw Boulevard. Expected to open later this year in 2025, Destination Crenshaw consists of new community spaces, landscaping, investment in local business, and art commissions from more than 100 Black artists. Getty is proud to be the lead arts funder that will support artists in bringing their artworks to life. You can see Patrick Henry Johnson's mural now across from LA Metro K Line’s Hyde Park station. 🎨 Additional murals featured: Monument of Love, Mother and Child, 2024 by AiseBorn, Kofie, and El Mac of United to Inspire Collective / Hey Young World, 2024 by Anthony "Toons One" Martin
