The sweet moment when you get to bring your baby home from the hospital NICU 🥲 As we prepared & prayed to become mom and dad, we never expected to also be a NICU mom and dad. As we got closer to meeting our precious baby, we didn’t know he would also be a preemie baby. Although it was an unexpected part of our journey and our sweet baby boy arrived six + weeks early — God has been so good. So grateful for the gift of our strong & brave baby boy. A Year Has Gone By🦆🎀 A year ago today at 10:02 & 10:04 my life changed forever. Weighing 4lbs 8oz and 4lbs 9oz, the two strongest little miracles decided to join us. I cried until i couldn’t cry anymore and i prayed like no other. 21 and 40 days in Nicu felt like a lifetime. I’ll never forget meeting you for the first time, your body completely covered with tubes & wires. Hearing the beeps of the monitors and feeling my heart jump at every beep. I remember when i found out y’all were coming early and had to go to NICU i was terrified. What mama wants to hear that their babies have to go to NICU because they can’t breathe or eat on their own. If only i knew what i know now. You two are the strongest little fighters and defeated every odd that was thrown y’all’s way and still are. I remember each night i had to leave you in your little incubator. Everything victory we celebrate no matter how big or how small. Nicu will forever be apart of your story. Watching you grow from NICU to now has been such an amazing experience. You fought for your life even on the days you didn’t feel like fighting. Y’all are so strong and i can’t wait to tell you all about it. Thank you for being so strong. You have learned how to do so much this year, i can’t wait to watch what you more you learn.
