Here are a few of our favorite things: 🎒The Visitors Center has complimentary, nature -themed backpacks for kids to check-out! They are full of books, activities, binoculars, and more to enhance your experience! 📖 Don’t miss the StoryTrail located in the Woodland Garden. 🏡 Tour the Daweswood House Museum to learn more about the Dawes family. The scheduled tours are FREE to the public with admission to The Arboretum. 🚌 Take a wagon tour to see the vast tree collections throughout the grounds while the tour guide highlights the history of The Arboretum. 🦉Avian Avatars is a fun exhibit featuring magnificent sculptures, each representing different birds native to Central Ohio. 🪺Don’t miss out on the Discovery Center, which is full of hands-on learning exhibits, nature books and a few live animals! 🚘 There is an auto tour that takes guests throughout The Arboretum. You can even download the free audible guide. 🏯 Don’t miss the Japanese Garden. It is so serene and peaceful. It is easy to see why it is a local favorite! Have you heard of Pyramid Hill Sculpture Park and Museum? 🌷 Pyramid Hill is a nonprofit park in Hamilton, OH that sits on a sprawling 300 acres with a incredible collection of over 80 outdoor sculptures. 🖼️They also have two museums with ancient sculptures and contemporary art. Both are included with admission! 🗓️ Don’t miss out on their family-friendly events such as Art & Earth Day taking place April 22nd! 🧺 Pack a picnic! One of our favorite picnic spot is the Patio Overlook. 🚘 At only 35 minutes from Cincinnati, it makes a great day trip! 👟Bring good walking shoes. There are tons of great trails and areas to explore. 🚙 Take a driving tour of the sculptures along the Gallery Loop Rd. Guests can even rent golf carts at the visitors center to access Golf cart only paths. 🎟️The park is open daily from 9am-5pm. Admission is free for members| $10 for non members adult | $5 for Youth | 5 and under are Free! 🌳 Psss…you can even rent hammocks for $5 The park is starting to bloom making it the perfect time to visit! Did you know that Ohio has an African Drive-Thru Safari were you can feed the giraffes? 🦒 While visiting Lake Erie we stumbled upon @africansafariwildlifepark in Port Clinton which provides a solid afternoon of entertainment. 🦙The park is open seasonally so add this to your Ohio summer bucket list. 🦘Admission not only gets you unlimited trips through the drive-thru safari (up until an hour before they close), but also you get to explore their walk-thru safari. ‼️ Warning: You are doing this at your own risk. There is a sign that states the park is not liable for any injury to you are your vehicle. 🦜The walk-thru safari gives you the opportunity to see a variety of birds and animals. You can even feed Budgies, walk with Capybaras, and kangaroos. (Some are an extra cost). 🥬 One cup of feed is included per car with additional cups being $5, or food packages available for purchase. 🦕They also have Dinosaur Takeover which is returning for 2025! With tons of animatronic Dino’s throughout the walk-thru Safari. 💵 If you are already planning on buying admission, consider getting a @getoutpass which includes one admission, per pass, to the African Safari Wildlife Park along with admission to over 90 other attractions!
