Growing Healthy and “Spicy Tomato” Plants in Tissue Culture 👇 Spoiler alert: it’s not about actual tomatoes. 😉 Tissue culture is the game-changer you need to grow clean, thriving plants that are healthy and contamination-free! ✨ How It’s Done: ✅ Sterilize cuttings in 10% bleach for 15 minutes. (Pro tip: use 150 mL tubes to minimize contamination risks). ✅ Rinse, trim the ends at a 45-degree angle, and give those cuttings the best shot at absorbing nutrients. ✅ Start them in vented test tubes—save media and reduce losses! 📅 Master Your Craft: Register for our upcoming in-person Master Class to learn EVERYTHING about tissue culture. Follow us to see how these plants thrive in the coming weeks and learn how to subculture like a pro.

Ever wondered how well PPM™ protects your tissue cultures? 🧫 We ran an experiment to find out just how effective it is at controlling bacterial contamination. 📽️ What We Tested: ✅ A contaminated bacteria sample was applied to media with varying PPM™ concentrations: • No PPM™ (control) • 0.5 mL/L • 2 mL/L • 4 mL/L ✅ Negative control plates with no bacteria were also included. 💡 What We Found After One Week: • Plates without PPM™? Heavy bacterial growth. • Plates with PPM™? Minimal to no contamination, even at lower concentrations. • At 4 mL/L, PPM™ showed incredible effectiveness—only a tiny bit of bacteria grew, proving its ability to defend your cultures. 🎥Stay tuned for Part 2, where we test PPM™ against fungus!
