It is when we come out of survival mode that grief makes its way in. We are in constant mourning of ourselves, others, friendships that no longer are, so on ans so forth, and don’t ever really stop in our tracks to let the grief work through us. The time has come to share this song with the world🫀 @mexhele and I worked together to bring this song to life for all of us searching for that reason to stay another day and I am sure it will find the right people in due time. Sending you all a big hug as we continue to show up for one another in times of crises 🫂 #grief #quedateundiamas #stayanotherday #prayforLA
A year ago I received a phone call from a dear friend of mine to say his goodbye. I always feared that day would come. I had been going through my own spiritual journey and learning about life’s universal truths in recent months prior to that but we hadn’t had a moment to catch up since life got so busy for the both of us. I asked him if he had already said goodbye to his childhood self. “I don’t event know him” he said and broke done sobbing. I wanted to hug him so bad but he was on the other side of the country. So I said, “don’t you dare say goodbye to me if you haven’t talked to him first. He wants to talk to you. He’s been waiting for you. He has no judgment. Please don’t leave him without saying goodbye.” We stayed on the phone for hours that day. We talked about our childhood traumas and how difficult humans made it for themselves to just exist in this world with so much hate going around. Both of us had experienced hardships in our early years, abuse, and being rejected by our families. That phone call saved both of us. We decided it was worth a shot to stay another day and that’s where this song was born 💜 #quedateundiamas #mentalhealthmatters
