Thank you 2024 for teaching me that aging is a gift!! ‼️Listen, if I MUST have wrinkles, I want happy ones👇🏼👇🏼 ➡️I do recognize that hairstyles and clothing can make you look older but I think what’s changed the most in 2024 is the way we look at aging. 💪🏼Women are recognizing our bodies are strong and still capable. 💪🏼 More women showing up unapologetically has helped our perception of aging 💪🏼We have much more knowledge (thanks to science, modern medicine & the internet) than our mother’s and grandmother’s did. What I am currently learning as a 43 year old mom of 3 teens👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼 1.Being authentically you matters the most. Stop apologizing for being too loud, not enough or anything else. Just be YOU. Let them copy you, try to be you but no one can match your energy-no one can do it like you. So keep on sista!!!⭐️ 2. Worrying what others think of you is a waste of time. Look everyone has an opinion, but do you feel good about what you are doing-🤷‍♀️that’s what really matters 3.Let things go. If it won’t matter tomorrow, it’s not worth your energy. 4.A smaller circle is better than a larger one 5.Be vulnerable. The things that embarrass you, or make your feel alone will probably help someone else. 6.It’s important to be proud of how far you’ve come, what you’ve accomplished and living a life others might not understand. Take time to celebrate you✨ 7.Kind people can still set boundaries. Setting boundaries doesn’t make you mean, it protects your peace✌🏻 8. Not everyone will be your ”person.” Ain’t that for sure😉 9. .Lastly, learn to love this crazy, messy life. Everyday is a new opportunity to reinvent, grow and evolve. NO ONE has it together-we are all just doing the best we know how.
