Going into 2025 there’s so many positive climate stories and even when Trump is in office he won’t be able to change much of what has already been done to save our Earth, even if he could change these stories, our communities will continue to fight this crisis until the whole world receives environmental justice! Never give up because it is never too late to ramp up our efforts to slow warming to our planet and preserve a livable climate for all future generations! #hopecore #goodclimatenews #ecotokcentral #savetheearth #trump #biden #climatechange #climatecrisis #polarbear #seaturtle
See you on Instagram @jj.barkhurst , this might be one of my last videos as EcoTokCentral , but for the sake of everyone who calls this planet home , let’s never stop fighting for our Earth! #EcoTokCentral #tiktokban #climatechange #climatestrike #savetheearth #lettheearthbreathe #losangelesfire #viral #foryou #albuquerque #unmleaf #yucca #albuquerque #rednote

#hopecore | Where have I been… Since April, the last time I posted, I went on a 6-week trek throughout the southwestern United States, backpacking and visiting national parks. I started my first semester of college and declared my major in Environmental Planning & Design. My hopes for a career are to design cities of the future with an end goal of breaking into Green Architecture, creating cities with net zero emissions by incorporating nature and low emission building materials. In August, I joined my university’s environmental coalition, (shoutout UNM LEAF!) and I got to see my all-time favorite artist and inspiration live in concert, Billie Eilish! I’m so grateful for 2024 and I’m excited to continue my environmental activism into 2025. In 2025, I’m going to be joining @OUR YOUTH 4 THE CLIMATE 🌏🌱 , a global climate education organization with one of the world’s first climate change curriculums for high schools. I was accepted into a climate research fellowship at my university where I will learn from a climate scientist on the effects of climate change in the Arctic and the need for monitoring stations on Arctic rivers. I’ll be producing a communication project for the fellowship which I’ll likely share here on tiktok. On top of all of this, I’m continuing my work with UNM LEAF as the director of media. As well as continuing to use my platform here on TikTok of 350k+ climate warriors to help shutdown fossil fuel & mining proposals, raise money for @Conservation Int , share good news, and ways we can all do our part! Go take a walk in nature, take a deep breath, and find the motivation to take action this year for the sake of our planet and all of the beautiful plants, animals, and people that live upon it. It’s actually nuts tho…. There’s plastic bottles allllllllll over the place 😟. All over the beach, all throughout the woods, washed up on shore, etc. pretty much everywhere besides trash barrels. It’s a sad reality. But like I said in this video, you can’t even fault the local people. The lack of education = lack of knowledge for the impact it causes to the environment / ocean. Lack of finances= inability to travel outside of this island, which means not having something to compare their home too and not realizing how beautiful their home actually is. I know my efforts don’t do shit in the grand scheme. It may make .2% of a difference, but I’m cool w that. Any difference is a difference. I can’t just walk along this beautiful island, in this beautiful country, full of beautiful people and not do something****. I wish more westerners/tourists would do some something. I’m not talking about some big extravagant clean up; I’m talking just using the plastic bag that they gave you w your fruits/coffee and filling it w plastic trash by your feet as your exiting the beach. It’s everywhere. It sucks to see. BUT like I said, you can’t even fault them. BUT what’s really cool is there are some programs on this island for marine conservation. Not necessarily for the marine life, but for their coral reef. They have a beautiful reef system and as of rn, there’s zero bleaching to it. It’s cool to see they’re taking action to protect that. Im not looking for applause for picking up these bottles either. I’m just trying to show the reality of places like this, why it’s like this, and what westerners/tourists/we can do to help ❤️ #Travel #SaveTheOcean #travelblogger #cambodia #solotravel #travelcambodia #worldtravel #OceanConservation #savetheearth #backpacking

Before TikTok gets banned, here are my 10 most impactful videos from my time running #EcoTokCentral… I started this account in 2021 after feeling powerless against the climate crisis and since then we’ve garnered over 100 Million Views, 300,000+ climate warriors, $2,500+ to climate charity @Conservation Int (+ any revenue from this video will go towards that charity so thank you if you watched till the end). When TikTok gets banned in my country however, I won’t stop my climate activism, you can follow along with my journey on IG @jj.barkhurst, I am now the director of media for my university’s environmental coalition @unmleaf and I’m a video creator for @ouryouth4theclimate, so you can follow along with my work on all of those accounts as well! I am so grateful for this app and the power it has given me, I hope this is only the beginning. #top10 #tiktokban #climatechange #savetheearth #climatecrisis #lettheearthbreathe #gretathunberg #peterkalmus #viral #foryou #climateaction #biden #polarbear #endangeredspecies #ecobricking #environmentalism #Sustainability #seaturtle #climateclock #globalwarming #fyp #foryoupage #xyzbca

Don’t send your tree to the landfill!! 🤍Throw it in the woods, find a composter, cut it up and put it in your garden. We use it as a bird playground! When it turns brown it gets chopped up and put on our garden beds. I recorded this mini cover of Michael Jackson’s ‘Earth Song’ just a week before news of the devastating fires began to surface. Looking back, it feels both eerie and deeply meaningful to have sung these words during such a critical time for our planet. My heart aches for everyone affected by the fires and for the destruction of our beautiful Earth. This song has always been a reminder of how much we need to cherish and protect our world and each other. May this serve as a prayer for healing, restoration, and hope. God loves this world, and I believe, God willing, there will be peace and renewal soon. Let’s continue to pray, act, and care for our Earth and for those suffering right now. 🌍💔 #earthsong #earth #godbless #la #losangeles #fires #firefighter #pray #globalwarming #nature #lilymarieantonini #michaeljackson #fup #vocals #raiseawareness #world #california #mj #fire #cover #singer #savetheearth @Michael Jackson ONE @LosAngelesBucketList
