I might not have been able to predict that this was what Mx Domestic would become, but looking back, of course this is what needed to happen and was the obvious correct next step. To provide psychological safety for myself and others. To ensure that diversity, equity and inclusion don't get lost in sewing & quilting as so many pull away from it. ALL of us should feel seen, valid and welcome to sew, quilt and craft and for too many years I didn't. And I know I'm not alone because this community is literally built from those of us who have felt othered and unwelcome. Just know, I see you and I'm not going anywhere. So this is just the beginning and I'm moving at the best pace that works for my mental health, but wow am I blown away at what it's already become. So thank you to everyone who has supported the Mx Domestic Fabric Shop so far. Let's build and grow this thing and make our mark. Because we are worthy of this. Love you mean it.
