This is important 👇🏻 If you’re not incorporating any rotational work into your lower body days, this is a good place to start! This movement specifically is a client favorite! A lot of my clients report feeling the most glute here out of any RDL variation. Why is it so good? 👉🏻The kickstand stance is usually an easier stance to nail down a hip hinge 👉🏻The glute med gets involved more to stabilize the pelvis during rotation 👉🏻Mimics how we move in normal life- WE ROTATE! 👉🏻Enhances hip mobility 👉🏻Improves hip stability 👉🏻It’s also great to get in a lot of stimulus under relatively lighter loads compared to a bilateral stance RDL (good for those with injuries) **Although you can do this with a DB or KB, I’m a BIG fan of doing it with a Landmine! You can get more range of motion and it forces you into rotation due to the fixed position on the barbell. Like I’ve mentioned before, a good program should have you moving in all planes of motion. You should be rotating your hips, shoulders, and trunk through some variations! Happy lifting! 🫶🏻
