Did you know that even the behavior of avoiding looking in the mirror can be correlated with higher body weight and poorer health? It is easy to ignore problems that we do not want to deal with, but they only get worse when we pretend they do not exist. I see this often in women, they do not want to step on the scale in fear of seeing something they do not like so they never do it. This is fine, unless you were trying to specifically lose weight on the scale. We need metrics to see how your body is responding to the things you are doing. Without that, we live in chaos based on how you feel. If you had a bad day, you probably feel like you have made no progress in the last month and nothing has changed. If we have data to rely on, I can show you where you’ve made progress and where you have fallen short and what we can do to fix it. Data is so important! And this same concept applies to any other goal you’re trying to achieve!
