Since I was a child, dressing up was my escape—whether as a bride, a tawaif, or anything I saw Madhuri or Aishwarya do in their last film. It wasn’t just affirming; it made me feel connected to something bigger. When I started creating content ten years ago, I faced a lot of controversy and backlash from the South Asian community because the world wasn’t ready for a queer person to enter this genre. But I was loud, bold, polished, and completely natural at it. It became my mission to create art that celebrates South Asian culture through the lens of a trans woman and to carve space for myself and my sisters to shine. I am so proud of how far we have come despite the odds, but we still have a long way to go. It’s my dream to see a trans South Asian woman like me play the roles I grew up watching. 🎬 @IndianBara I love you. You are the best creative director and a truefriend. I am so lucky! You capture in a way that is beautiful and euphoric. They way your bring visions to life and push all to be better is remarkable. I am so blessed to have grown and learned from you just by being in your presence. •Jewelry Set @Square Pinwheel •Nose ring ( Nath) @Jodi Box Jewelery ✨ •Nails @asemoonstudio •Dupeta sent to me by my cute Pakistani sis @fama_haji
