Last NYE (bringing in 2024) was the last time I had a glass of alcohol. I was first tempted to stop drinking just to cut calories and get healthier but then I also felt God steering me away from it too. So, I decided to start with doing dry January but then it turned into this ongoing amazing journey over the entire year of growing stronger physically, mentally & spiritually! • If you’re thinking about giving it up or you’ve been feeling like it hasn’t been serving you or helping you grow as a person; I hope this may help in some way🩵 • It’s not always easy, especially when at social gatherings but I promise you, your future self will thank you! 💪 • Btw, I’m not trying to shame or say anyone who does drink is bad whatsoever! Nor am I trying to come across as better than someone who drinks either. (I actually owned & operated a mobile bar tending service company) I just wanted to share about my year-long journey & maybe help or encourage or make someone feel not so alone. • TBH, it sometimes feels like a dang power move! But being the one to say “no thanks” can make you feel 2 ways; like the loneliest one at the party or like the strongest, in control & most free-thinking one. • I mean, just look at Donald Trump, Imma right?😎 • Basically, I found God & forgot alcohol😎💁♀️😂 so yeah, Dropping the alcohol did so much more than just cutting some calories from my diet😆 if you’re reading this far, this is truly your sign to try it! It doesn’t have to control your social status AT ALL either, it literally teaches you how to be confident at social events without the “liquid mask” • ok that’s my rant for the day, just proud of myself being disciplined with myself for an entire year!!! I feel amazing and am the most healthy I’ve been since probably high school!! 💪☺️ • Hope this encourages someone to have a great and growing year in 2025!!!🥰✨ •
