The Anamorphic Lens vs The Shot 🎥 A few office shots using Sirui’s full frame T2.9 anamorphic ‘Saturn’ lens set. In shot order, the lenses used are the 35mm, 75mm, 50mm, 35mm…. Shooting anamorphic is something new to me, and I’m slowly starting to love the process. Unfortunately, the A7IV (my primary body) doesn’t have anamorphic de-squeeze support, but I’ve been using an external monitor to help with that. 1.6x is a really nice ‘squeeze factor’ and works well in post production. In 4k, you can change your vertical resolution from 2160 to 1350 (2160/1.6) and scale your y-dimension to 62.5% (100/1.6).
