This was the first deal I’d lost in 9 years. Clients release from contracts for many reasons, but we always end up at the closing table. This was not one of those times. 🫠 BUT the listing agent and the seller were so amazing and knew how hard we had worked… they offered the house to my client as a rental. Yup, she still moved in WITH the option to purchase within the year. It was a heck of a deal, closing cost assistance, repair allowances, 4bd 2ba below $300k. A WIN. But it was a mess of a deal towards the end. I dealt with lack of communication from the lender, who I no longer work with, boundaries were crossed, like the lender telling my client not to come to walkthrough because we were delayed without mentioning it to me… The listing agent and myself worked tirelessly to get this closed and it just wasn’t in the cards. And with the deal falling apart I had to tell a producer that was so excited to work with us that it wasn’t happening. New year, new opportunities! Which means this year one or more…of my buyer clients could be featured with me on House Hunters!
