β€’ "Young men and women, you have already been paid for. All we really have to do is say, Thank You." – Maya Angelou Today's opportunity was made possible by those who came before us. The rights we exercise, the freedoms we enjoy, and the spaces we now occupy result from countless sacrifices. From Harriet Tubman leading enslaved people to freedom to John Lewis risking his life on the Edmund Pettus Bridge to Shirley Chisholm breaking political barriersβ€”our ancestors paved the way with their courage, resilience, and determination. Dr. Maya Angelou reminds us that we are not walking this path alone; we are standing on the shoulders of giants. Their struggles paid our dues. Their sacrifices ensured that we could dream bigger and reach higher. The best way to honor their legacy is to live with purpose, gratitude, and action. Let’s take a moment to say thank youβ€”not just with words, but with how we live our lives. We honor them by striving for excellence, fighting for justice, and lifting others as we climb. Their legacy is our foundation; our gratitude should be shown in how we build upon it. πŸ™πŸΎβœ¨ #BlackGratitude #BlackHistory365 #westandontheshouldersofourancestors #westandontheshouldersofgiants
