Handling the “sloppy” one👇 It can be really tiring and frustrating as a manager when you keep raising the same issues and the same mistakes happen repeatedly. A trap we can fall into is focusing on each individual incident rather than recognising the pattern that has emerged. The we can and focus on discussing this. Try to avoid showing your annoyance and instead highlight the pattern you’re seeing and try to tease out from your direct report how they think the unproductive pattern can be broken. Focusing on the pattern moves the conversation away from you against them and towards looking at the problem (the unproductive pattern) together. This creates safety which often helps resolve things. “I’m notice there’s a pattern in our 1:1s where [INSERT PATTERN]. I’m curious how we can we break this pattern?” Remember to be clear with your direct report that it’s important the issue is addressed to prevent it becoming a more formal performance conversation. Clear is kind. It’s important people understand the full picture and consequences. Let them know you are there to support but you need their help as you don’t know where to go next. This creates shared responsibility. 💬 Leave a 🙌 in the comments if you’re going to keep this technique up your sleeve 👀 📌 Please remember the advice offered in this video is generalised and intended for guidance purposes only. It will not fit every situation so please use your own judgment based on your own unique situation. 🚀 Follow for more tips on managing people with less stress #worktips #leadershipdevelopment #work #corporatelife #emotionalintelligence #difficultconversations #managertips #communicationskills #assertivecommunication #managingpeople

Top performers don’t wait for permission to speak. They understand the flow of conversation, create their own openings, and use subtle cues to signal when they want to jump in. One trick I learned? Taking a breath and leaning in slightly when someone finishes a thought—it naturally signals that you have something to say, and more often than not, the speaker will pause and let you in. #careeradvice #careersuccess #corporatelife #professionalgrowth #worktips #softskills #communicationskills

🌟 The top performers understand it's not just about working hard—it's about mastering Performance, Image, and Exposure. Here's how: 💼 Performance: Align your work with your manager's goals. Work smart, not just hard. ✨ Image: Be likeable. Think about the traits you admire in others and embody them. 👀 Exposure: Make sure key decision-makers know your impact—speak up, share updates, and shine in meetings. I learned the hard way that high performance alone isn't enough—don’t make the same mistake. Like this? Follow for more career growth tips! ★ HOW TO MAKE TIME WITH A BUSY SCHEDULE. All you need is 30-45 min, a packed gym bag and treadmill/place to walk ✿ For Students: 1. You should have access to a recreational gym included with your tuition 2. Use the hour break between your classes to head to the gym or walk around campus to get steps in. 3. If you don't want to be sweaty do it after classes. 4. If you need the time to study, wake up early and walk before class. ✿ For Corporate/Working: 1. Get a gym membership or if you rent, your apt complex should have a gym facility. 2. For Hybrid, utilize your WFH days to get it out of the way in the morning. You'll feel so much more prepared for your work day. 3. When you are in office, change immediately into your gym clothes when you're done so you are in that mindset to head to the gym. 4. If you have no time before or after, put on some walking shoes and take 30 of your 1hr break to walk around the block. A brisk walk with water in hand. Take a co worker! ✿ #corporatelife #studentlifeusa #fyp #viral #fitnesstips #workgymbalance #worklifebalance #GymTok #studentlife #studenttips #worktips #corporatelife
