#ZeldaMusic showcases the enchanting soundtracks from the beloved Legend of Zelda series, igniting nostalgia and creativity. Fans share covers, remixes, and original compositions, celebrating its timeless melodies and immersive gaming experiences.
I listened to this soundtrack multiple times, and I just couldn’t get into it. It felt so random and all over the place, almost as chaotic as the game itself. Don’t get me wrong—the game is iconic and has its own charm—but the soundtrack just didn’t gel with me the way others have. People can absolutely love it, and that’s fine! But for me, this is not one of the great OSTs in the Zelda franchise. 🌟 Disclaimer: This is also to say nothing against the new Link’s Awakening remake soundtrack!! That will have its own separate ranking, and I absolutely love that one. 🎮 Fun Facts About Link’s Awakening 👾The Game: Link’s Awakening was the first Zelda game for a handheld console (Game Boy, 1993). It started as an after-hours experiment by developers who worked on A Link to the Past! 👾The Soundtrack: The soundtrack was composed by Kazumi Totaka and is notable for including Totaka’s Song, an Easter egg hidden in many of his works. This quirky style matches the game’s unusual tone and humor. Totaka is the KK Slider btw and with all the random mambos, it checks out 🤣 🎶 Ranking Rubric ⭐️Composition Quality (1-5): Is the melody strong? Is it rhythmically and harmonically interesting? ⭐️Contextual Fit (1-5): Does the piece fit its in-game location or moment? ⭐️Originality (1-5): How unique and fresh is the piece compared to other Zelda tracks or game music in general? ⭐️Legacy (1-5): Did this track leave a lasting impact on the franchise or gaming culture? #zelda #linksawakening #zeldamusic #nintendosoundtrack #gamingmusic #videogamemusic #zeldafan #nintendo #vgm #videogamemusic #nostalgicgames
