Sip into Dry January with a Rosemary Ginger Sparkle Make the perfect non-alcoholic drink for the winter season! The balance of sweet, spicy, and herbaceous flavors makes it both invigorating and soothing—ideal for cozy nights or hosting. Ingredients For the Rosemary Ginger Syrup: 1 cup water 1 cup sugar 1/2 cup fresh rosemary sprigs 2-inch piece of fresh ginger, sliced thinly For the Mocktail: 2 oz rosemary ginger syrup 3 oz pear juice 1 oz fresh lemon juice 3 oz sparkling water Ice Garnish Dried orange wheel Fresh rosemary sprig For the syrup, combine water and sugar over medium heat until the sugar dissolves completely. Add in the rosemary and ginger and simmer for 5-7 minutes to infuse the flavors. Remove from heat and let it steep for an additional 15 minutes. Strain and store in the fridge. For the mocktail, fill a glass with ice. Add rosemary ginger syrup, apple or pear juice, and lemon juice. Top with sparkling water and stir gently to combine. Bonus Tip: Did you know rosemary and other herbs are super easy to grow indoors during the winter months? With just a sunny windowsill and a little care, you can have fresh ingredients for your mocktails all season long! We especially love Alicia’s take on the nighttime drink because it’s lower sugar than most other recipe’s in this space AND it’s easy to make. Why tart cherries? They’re high in magnesium which can aid with both brain health and sleep. Make sure you get pure tart cherry juice, not juice cocktail. Ingredients: -1 cup tart cherry juice -½ cup chamomile tea -¼ cup apple juice or apple cider -¼ inch fresh ginger -1 bottle sparkling water -optional: rosemary for garnish Recipe: -In a small saucepan, combine the cherry juice, tea, apple juice, and ginger. Bring to a boil over medium high heat, then reduce to a low simmer for about 5 minutes. -Remove ginger and allow mixture to cool (or serve warm in a mug for cooler weather). -When ready to serve, put the mixture into a cocktail shaker with ice and shake, or pour over ice in a cup. If using a cup, pour soda over the top till full (or about ¼ cup recommended) -If using a shaker, strain the mixture into 2 martini glasses, dividing evenly, then top with a splash of soda. Garnish with rosemary or ginger. Notes from Alicia: -Use 100% juice with no added sugar. -Apple juice is used to sweeten. To cut down on the natural sugar content, omit it from the recipe.  -The best deal I’ve found on tart cherry juice, which can be expensive, is at Trader Joe’s. What you'll need: -7 ounces hot tea -1 tablespoon honey -1 teaspoon lemon juice -1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon, or a cinnamon stick -1/2 teaspoon cloves -1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg -💚 Immunity Drops  -Lemon wedge, for garnish How to make it: -In a warm* glass or mug, add the honey, lemon juice, and spices. -Top with hot, freshly brewed tea and a squeeze of Buoy Immunity Drops. -Garnish with lemon wedge, serve, and enjoy ✨  *PRO TIP:  While waiting for your tea to brew, pour the extra water from your teapot into the glass or mug you will be using. This warms up the mug and keeps your toddy hot longer. Dump the water before building the drink. 🧡 If you have whole spices—particularly the cloves, which are most often whole—you can contain them in your mug by placing them in a tea ball or similar strainer.
