You can wash with the solution and leave to soak for 5 minutes maximum. The turmeric gives it a brighter color making it more desirable to eat and appealing to the eye. 🟢 The vinegar does not affect the taste in anyway. Both ice and vinegar reduces the oxidation process (discoloration of the yam) during the cutting and even when stored in the freezer for long. 🟢 These frozen yams are meant to be fried / cooked directly from the freezer. No need for defrosting. Defrosting them will affect the texture massively. 🟢This preservation method is best applicable to a more stable power supply.
