I’m not sure whether to laugh or cry 🤷♀️ It is kinda laughable- the whirl wind of the holidays. All the planning, shopping, wrapping, cooking, cleaning, and entertaining. Then January hits and boom, the house is quiet, the kids leave, and the darkness of early winter evenings are no longer combatted with the twinkling holiday lights. It can leave the best of us feeling sad and a little empty. The post holiday blues are no joke, so here’s a few simple and practical tips to get through them a little easier… 1️⃣focus on setting goals for the new year, while putting energy and focus into what you want 2025 to look like. The life after kids goals framework is a huge help. 2️⃣consider using a light box if you really struggle with the shorter days and take 1000-5000 IU’s of vitamin D with K2 daily 3️⃣move your body every day. If you’re struggling with sleep and low mood, take a short walk outside as soon as you get up 4️⃣connect with a friend over coffee or tea. Don’t discount the power of community 5️⃣organize and declutter your home. You may be surprised what it does for your focus and emotional health. This time of year it’s so easy to fall into the trap of sitting around feeling sorry for yourself. Don’t do it, friend. Instead, channel your focus and energy into something positive and productive daily. ❤️ Spring will be here before we know it 🙌😘
