Recipe ⤵️ I’m bringing shrimp cakes to the TikTok funeral 🥲 video inspo: saw @Tini👩🏼🍳🔥 is bringing her gorg Mac n cheese Ingredients: - 2 lbs shrimp (cleaned and deveined) - 5-6 garlic cloves (minced) - 2 eggs - 1 box panko - i tsp sesame oil - 1/4 tsp MSG - 1/4 c kewpie mayo - 1/8 c soy sauce - 2 tsp sriracha - 1/4 c scallions - 1-2 red chilis - juice 1/2 a lemon - oil for frying avocado mash: - 2 avocados - juice of 1/4 lemon - 1/4 tsp pepper - pinch salt toppings: - spicy mayo - scallions Directions: 1. Mince your shrimp you want smaller pieces w a few larger chunks & add to large bowl. 2. Add in 1 c panko, garlic, eggs, sesame oil, msg, kewpie mayo, soy sauce, sriracha, scallions, red chili, and lemon juice. Mix well until combined into thick mash. 3. Portion out using an ice cream scoop. Mold them into patties with your hands. Then place them onto parchment paper lined tray. 4. Cover them with cling wrap and place them in fridge for an hour to set. 5. While those set, mash your avocado, and add your salt, pepper, & lime juice. Mash into smooth texture. Cover w cling wrap and leave in fridge until ready. 6. Heat up oil over slightly lower than med heat. 7. Let the patties come to room temp for a bit (about 5-10mins) before carefully tossing them in some more panko. 8. Then fry them for 3-4 mins per side flipping them over when they’re nice and golden brown. Make sure your oil isn’t too hot or they won’t fully cook!! 9. Remove them onto a wire rack once both sides are nice and golden. 10. Top with avocado mash, spicy mayo, and some more scallions. Serve & enjoy babe!
