Cardio is hardio and one of my coping mechanisms is doing math in my head to make it appear easier. Sometimes I do get lost in my thoughts when I’m not distracted by my panting and burning muscles. I thought that for years. In reality you should be in zone 2 heart rate for 60-70% of your training to see benefits. That’s simply a brisk walk. The other 30-40% should be spent at the higher heart rate levels around 70-90% of your max heart rate.
