Chicken Chowmein Recipe Ingredients: For the Chicken: 1 lb boneless chicken breast, cut into thin slices 1 tbsp corn flour 1 tsp baking powder Oil for cooking  2 tbsp soy sauce Salt to taste 1 tsp black pepper 1 tsp garlic powder 1 tsp red chili flakes For the Veggies: 1 cup mixed bell peppers, sliced 1/2 cup cabbage, sliced 3 tbsp fresh garlic, finely chopped 2 mushrooms, sliced 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced 1/2 cup green onion, diced 1/2 cup carrots, thinly sliced Salt to taste 1 tsp black pepper For the Sauce: 2 tbsp light soy sauce 2 tbsp dark soy sauce 1 tbsp rice vinegar 2 tbsp oyster sauce 2-3 tbsp sweet and sour sauce 1 chicken bouillon cube, crushed Salt to taste 1 tsp black pepper 1 tbsp brown sugar 1 tbsp garlic powder To Assemble: 230g egg noodles 1 tbsp sambal oelek or chili sauce 2 tbsp sesame seed oil 1 cup green onion, sliced White sesame seeds  Instructions: In a medium bowl, whisk together corn flour, baking powder, salt, garlic powder, black pepper, and red chili flakes. Add the chicken. Mix and Leave for 30 minutes. Heat oil in a wok over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-6 minutes (cook in batches, do not overcrowd the wok). Remove the chicken from the wok and set aside. In the same wok, add more oil if necessary. Add garlic and sambal oelek. Sauté for 1 minute. Add green onions,mixed bell peppers, garlic, mushrooms, red onion, and carrots. Stir-fry the vegetables until they are tender-crisp. Add cabbage and mix. Cook for 1 minute. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. In a bowl, whisk together light soy sauce, dark soy sauce, rice vinegar, sweet and sour sauce, oyster sauce, and crushed chicken bouillon cube. Add the brown sugar, garlic powder, and black pepper, and whisk. Set the sauce aside. Cook the egg noodles according to the package instructions. Add the cooked noodles to the wok with the stir-fried vegetables. Pour the prepared sauce over the noodles and vegetables. Add the cooked chicken back and stir-fry everything together.
