How I am drinking raspberry leaf tea + eating dates to prep for labor in the 3rd trimester! Studies have shown that drinking raspberry leaf tea and eating dates starting at around the 35 week mark in your pregnancy can help improve labor (shortened labor duration, improved uterine strength, help with cervical dilation, etc) and although there are mixed opinions on if it works, I am willing to do do anything and everything to help prep my body for an easier labor. **PLEASE consult your doctor before implementing/if you have any questions! ICED RASPBERRY LEAF TEA I prefer to drink this iced rather than hot & I don’t love the taste of it on its own, so I make it into a fruity iced tea drink! Because I steep the tea & cool it, I like to prep 7-8 days worth to have in the fridge. Steep 1 cup of water per 1 bag of tea for 15 mins (I like to do this in a large mason jar, but you could also do this right in the kettle). Let it chill completely, then add in a splash of pineapple juice and a splash of cranberry juice (adjust the amount depending on your preferred sweetness). I have been doing 1 cup/day! SNICKERS DATES Depit your dates, then stuff with 1 tsp peanut butter and 3-4 peanuts. Drizzle with melted dark chocolate and sprinkle with flakey sea salt & enjoy! I prefer to keep them in the freezer - I have 3 after lunch and 3 after dinner!
