When I take my kids to the library, childcare, or events, other kids often come up and start talking to them verbally without knowing they’re deaf or hard of hearing. My kids don’t always tell them that they couldn’t hear, and I don’t want to interrupt their conversations. So I thought about putting labels on their sweaters to let others know. This way, kids might try other ways to communicate, making things much easier for everyone. Plus, it’s great to teach deaf and hard of hearing about their identities in early ages.
