Homemade sandwich bread. In a large bowl, add 2 cups warm water (roughly 110 degrees), 1 tbsp active dry yeast, and 1 tbsp honey. Stir then let bloom. Once your yeast is activated, add 2 tsp salt, 2 tbsp melted butter, and 1/4 cup honey. Stir then add 5 cups of flour - either bread or all purpose. Stir. Once your dough starts to stick to your spoon or spatula, knead with your hands - either in the bowl or on the counter. If your dough is still a little sticky, you may need to add more flour. Once your flour is fully incorporated and your dough is no longer sticking to your hands, place your dough in a greased bowl and cover with either Saran Wrap or a damp towel. Let rise for an hour or until doubled in size. After your dough has doubled, it’s time to shape into loaves. Cut your dough in half and roll into a loaf - making sure to pinch the seams. Place in a greased loaf pan, cover, and let rise for another 30 minutes (or until doubled in size). After the 30 minutes, it’s time to bake. Bake at 350 for 35 minutes. Once out of the oven, top with butter. Allow your dough to cool completely before cutting. Slice and enjoy!
