Fudgy Valentines Day Brownies with doce de leite 🎀Ingredients: • ½ cup (113g) unsalted butter, cut into chunks • ½ cup (120ml) neutral oil • 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar • ½ cup (100g) brown sugar, packed • 2 large eggs + 1 egg yolk, at room temperature • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract • ½ cup (60g) Dutch-processed cocoa powder, sifted • ½ teaspoon salt • ½ cup (65g) all-purpose flour, sifted • 1 cup (170g) chocolate chips or m&ms (semi-sweet or dark) • doce de leite Instructions 1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8x8-inch pan with parchment paper. 2. Melt butter and oil in a bowl, then whisk in Dutch-processed cocoa until smooth. (I do it in the microwave for about 40sec) 3. In a separate bowl, whisk eggs, sugars, and vanilla for 2-3 minutes until pale and fluffy. 4. Mix the cocoa mixture into the egg mixture. 5. Sift in flour and salt, and gently fold until just combined. Fold in most of the chocolate chips or m&ms, reserving some for the top. 6. Pour batter into the pan, and add dollops of doce de leite. Swirl them around. Top with remaining chocolate or m&ms, and bake for 25-30 minutes. Check for doneness with a toothpick (should have moist crumbs). 7. Cool completely before slicing. Note: Funny enough I actually got distracted and messed up a step when filming these, the top should actually be crinkly so yours will look even better than mine if you make it 💗
