For women over 35, hormone issues often start with declining estrogen, which then triggers insulin resistance—leading to a cascade of problems like weight gain, fatigue, and stubborn belly fat. Here’s what you CAN control: ⚡ You can’t stop estrogen from declining (without HRT), but you CAN catch insulin resistance early. ⚡ Lower your carb intake—your body does NOT metabolize them the same at 40 as it did at 20. ⚡ Resistance training is non-negotiable—muscle is essential for metabolic health. ⚡ Eat enough protein—aim for 1g per pound of body weight (that’s ~2.2g per kg).
