Your Gut LOVES a Diverse Diet… But What If You Can’t Tolerate It? 🛒🌿 One thing I always make sure my patients know: once your gut is healed, keeping your diet diverse is KEY—especially when it comes to produce! 🍎🥦🍠 A healthy microbiome thrives on variety because different fruits and veggies feed different beneficial bacteria. The more diverse your plate, the more you support gut balance and overall health. But I know this can be hard if your gut isn’t in a good place yet. If you struggle with bloating, discomfort, or food sensitivities, you might find that too many raw veggies or high-fiber foods actually make things worse. This happens because an inflamed or imbalanced gut doesn’t break down fiber as efficiently, and an overgrowth of harmful bacteria can ferment certain foods too quickly, leading to symptoms. That’s why gut healing comes first. If you can’t tolerate variety yet, don’t worry—your gut CAN get there! Start slow, listen to your body, and focus on gentle, nourishing foods as you rebuild balance. Have you struggled with tolerating certain fruits or veggies? Drop a comment below—I’d love to chat! 👇
