if you’re traveling to 📍nara, japan, these are the three spots you NEED to check out for a taste of local flavors 🎌✨ 1️⃣ edogawa – this place is all about grilled eel (unagi) 🐟🔥. it’s a little pricier than other spots in nara, but trust me, it’s worth every yen! the unagi is tender, juicy, and melts in your mouth with a soft, delicate texture that’s unlike any fish you’ve ever had. the perfect balance of smoky and sweet from the glaze is just 🤩. 2️⃣ nakatanidou – famous for its fresh, hand-made mochi 🍡. if you’ve seen the viral mochi-pounding videos on social media, this is the place! they only sell one type of mochi here, filled with chunky red bean paste. while they have dedicated time slots for mochi-making process, we didn’t stay to watch 🫣 but the mochi itself is a must-try! it’s chewy, sweet, and perfect for a snack on the go. 3️⃣ maguro koya – if you love sushi or fresh tuna, this place is a dream 🍣💖. their otoro (fatty tuna) bowl is top-notch quality and the tuna melts in your mouth 🤤 for the price, you’re getting such incredible value 🤯
