I rented a fat man in Japan and asked him the questions you’re too scared to. You won’t believe what happens next. Should I take him to Japan’s most viral food spots for an eating contest? Let me know! #travel #japan #japon #japantrip #japantravel #japanlife #japanculture #viral #fyp
I fear the yen took advantage of us When we planned our trip to Kyoto I started to research into a bunch of ceramic and antique shops - since we wanted to find some special pieces to use daily and enjoy for decades to come. Here’s what we picked up across tea cups, coffee mugs, plates, and even a chawan from shops I found and ones we stumbled upon while staying in Kyoto. #kyototrip #kyototravel #japantravel #japantrip #japanhaul #antiqueceramics #japaneseceramics

Never making this mistake ever again #shinkansen #bullettrain #japan #japantravel #japantrip #traveljapan More tips on taking the Shinkansen below. I love taking the Shinkansen because the process is so smooth and efficient. My one tiny regret that might seem minor to you, but it’s something I’ll never forget—hahah Here are a few tips to make your Shinkansen experience even better: Tip 1: If you’re traveling with carry-on or large bags, board the train early to secure storage space. Storage is limited, so getting on first gives you the best chance of finding room. Tip 2: The trains are incredibly punctual, so if you see a train on the platform early, resist the urge to board—it’s likely not yours yet (and may leave) Tip 3: Always try to snag a window seat. Not only will you enjoy amazing views, but you’ll also have access to the power outlet for charging your devices. Tip 4: Remember to be mindful of others by keeping noise to a minimum. The Shinkansen is a quiet and peaceful experience for everyone. Enjoy your ride!🚅

fit THREE bucket list destinations in Japan into just one day trip! It was the best and busiest day. and so special because I don’t think I woulda gone to these towns anyways! Stop 1: amanohashidate, one of the three scenic views in Japan! a beautiful seaside town with the most picturesque views and quaint amusement park up at the top! My FAVORITE of the day! Stop 2: Ine Fishing Village, known as the Venice of Japan. This was BEAUTIFUL and you can do a boat tour or visit aesthetic cafes Stop 3: Miyama thatched village, also known as Kayabuki no Sato. WOW! I’ve never seen a place like this before. They have special milk ice creams you need to try! I got to all these spots via a day trip I booked on @Klook in the USA! they’re really good for Japan activities! code is “helenmelon” if you want a discount with them will be headed back to Japan in February! 🤪 #japantravel #japantrip #explorejapan #amanohashidate #inefishingvillage #miyamathatchedvillage #traveltips #asiatravel #bucketlistdestination

Priorities, amirite? 😅🍩 Every winter, Mister Donut releases a new limited edition lineup of Pokémon donuts! There were some super cute options this year ranging from ¥216-¥313 ($1.37-$1.99 USD). Saw these while in a train station in Hiroshima and couldn’t resist, although I started to panic as I got closer to the front of the line realizing a had about 1 minute to catch our train (and the next one wasn’t coming for about a half hour). So grateful for speedy Japanese service! 🙈 #japantrip #pokemon #misterdonut #kawaiifood
SAVE THESE TIPS for your next trip to 🇯🇵🚆 1. ARRIVE 20-30 minutes BEFORE YOUR TRAIN 🚂 trains leave ON THE DOT so leave room for error, especially if it’s your first time in Japan! also, if you’re buying food , give yourself an extra 15 minutes! 2. book your tickets through @Klook USA 🎫 this is such a convenient way, as you don’t have to worry about carrying any physical tickets! all you have to do is select the time and location of your train, choose whether you want reserved seats or not, and the choose your seat preference!! I love this option because then you know you’ll never miss that Mount Fuji view or have to worry about not fitting your oversized luggage! 🧳 you also simply use a QR code to get past the gates - it’s as simple as that! 3. look at the boards for your platform # 🚆 after passing the gates, make sure to look up at the board to see what platform your train is at! once you get to the platform there will also be indicators on which car to get into so again, you don’t waste extra time!!! 4. TO and FROM DESTINATION is the station name 🚊 if your ticket says from “Tokyo” it means TOKYO STATION! it does not mean from any station in Tokyo! make sure you understand this!! 5. buy a bento box for your ride! 🍱 i love how there are SO MANY OPTIONS! from sushi, to noodles, to beef rice, and more they are all so delicious! 😋 it also makes the shinkansen experience a 100x BETTER!
