Jalaram Khichdi!  ✅Recipe: 1. Add oil and ghee into pressure Add oil and ghee into pressure cooker or instant pot. Add dry spices like cinnamon stick, clove and bay leaf. Add dry red chili as well.  2. Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds and when it started popped up add asafetida and curry leaves.  3. Add 4 to 5 cloves of minced garlic, small piece of shredded ginger and chopped onions.  4. Sauté them until they leave their raw smell and taste. Add chopped tomatoes. Let it cook for few minutes.  5. Add all variety of veggies like Tuver Dana, chppped potatoes, chopped eggplant, peas and carrots. (You can add whatever you like ) 6. Add turmeric, red chili powder and garam masala (I had khichdi masala which I used ) you can add green chili paste if you like more spicy.  7. Add peanuts and salt to taste. Mix it well.  8. Add soaked rice and dal ( I took 11/2 cup rice + 1/4 cup toor daal + 1/3 cup moong dal + 1/4 cup split green moong dal ) 9. Add water like 2 cups. You can adjust water as per your consistency. When it started boiling, add pinch of sugar ( that’s my secret ingredient)  10. Cover it and cook it with 4 whistles or cook for 15 minutes in instant pot. Once it’s done, open the lid garnish with cilantro and shredded coconut (I didn’t add coconut as my husband doesn’t like it).  11. cooker or instant pot.
