Was it hard? Hardest thing I’ve ever done is to not defend myself! But man oh man… the peace God puts on my heart when I pray, let go, and let God 🤍🙏 It’s easy to see staying silent and praying, as people walking all over you or you letting people treat you bad. I always felt like me not defending myself meant everyone would believe & think I’m this awful person others portrayed me to be. But it simply boils down to the fact that some relationships or situations aren’t meant for you, and that is okay. The more I prayed and the more I got closer to God and dove into the Bible and my faith, the more I realized God truly will fight your battles/lead you. The more I dove into my faith and turned to my purpose the Lord had set forth for me.. the more I realized I would never find my identity and purpose in others. The Lord defines who I am. I am not perfect by any means, but the worlds opinions and views are not the Lords. Someday I will stand before one God, and one God only so I strive to be better for him. He has brought me a peace in hardships and turmoil I have NEVER before had in my life. My 2025 goal is not my goal but a pulling on my heart to follow my purpose. I don’t always understand it and sometimes I am confused, but this is what I was made for. I want to spread my love for the Lord and I want to share his word. I am working on planning my podcast, Bible studies, sharing my love for him, helping others. My husband came up to me the other night and asked me what was wrong and all I could simply do was get teary eyed and tell him “I wish I could heal this world. I wish I could wrap my arms around everyone and heal everyone and make them see.” I may not be able to lead the world to the Lord, but I will try to help others. I have been through so much in my life and I can relate to so many hardships. You name it, I’ve been there and felt it… ~shame ~guilt ~loneliness ~depression ~feeling worthless ~felling broken ~feeling empty ~anger ~embarrassment ~afraid ~secluded ~empty … and so much more. I understand your hesitance on leaning on the Lord and trusting in him. How could he ever help me? But in my darkest moment when I called out to the Lord and asked him why I existed? To take me from this place. He presented himself to me. I was instantly filled with a sense of peace and he set me out on a mission to truly understand him and what is was to have him in my life. When you’re in the thick of it you are blinded by your feelings. You truly believe you need or want something so bad and if you don’t have it, there is no way your life will ever make sense or flourish. Sometimes we are so sure of what we want for our life, but it was never in God’s plan. The Bible tells us to lean not on our own understanding and warns us that our own feelings are deceitful so instead to have faith and trust in the Lord to guide us. Looking back, the things I wanted for myself and felt I needed is so far from what I would ever need. But I begged God and cursed God for not giving me what I so desperately wanted. I questioned him and was set on the fact that he was failing me. It took several years later for me to see what God’s plans were all along. He had a life planned for me I would have never imagined for myself. I needed to go through the hard to truly understand and be grateful for the blessings. It may not be instant… it may be a stuggle to truly give it all to God and trust in his plan. This time a year ago I posted this video. I heard this song while I was at a crossroad with my faith where God asked me if I was going to step all in or turn and walk out the door. I was making life changing decisions that were not easy for me, but I followed God’s plan for me and trusted in him. It was the first time my faith had been attacked and the first time I was given the option to stand my ground and continue my path with the Lord or to cave in and continue the life I didn’t love that was pulling me further away from God. Here I am a year later and I am happy to say… my life has changed in ways I never thought possible. I no longer feel the need to follow the world. He changed me and my life for the better. He met where I was at and changed me for the better 🙏🤍 My faith has since been attacked, unkind words have been thrown my way, I have stumbled, made mistakes, and have gotten back up… but I have chosen to keep my eyes on the Lord and not look back. I am not above anyone else. I am a sinner. I'M JUST A NOBODY. Several years ago I started my walk with the Lord and A little over a year ago I started my podcast to help others! I was new to the podcast scene, but jumped in so confidently and was quickly shot down. My skin wasn’t thick enough to deal with the backlash or people who disagreed and I cowered, deleted my podcast, and crumbled and cried. As a mom of 3 and wife I easily cowered and stepped back into motherhood sitting comfortably with my family raising my children putting in the work. Over the past year I have worked hard in my life and with the Lord. Well… God taught me a lot of hard life lessons over the past year, but I have never felt more at peace through my hardships and he has put it on my heart again to reach out. I feel it pulling on my heart to spread his word and help others! I would have never thanked Jesus in the past for the turmoil or hardships that I went through, but I know now there is a greater purpose and he had my life planned out for me before I took my first breath. Turmoil, hardships, and mistakes are a time for growth. In my prayers every morning I ask God to “open my eyes, ears, mind, heart and soul and to shut my mouth to what it is you wants me to see, learn, and grow from for the day. Once I learned trust in him, I learned to truly thank him for every part of my life. Today and every day I follow the Lord and learn and grow. I am so far from perfect and like any other woman I stumble and fall.
