“I’ve got 99 thoughts and 98 of them are about food.” That was me all through high school when my relationship with food was at its worst. The first thing I thought about when I woke up? Breakfast. As soon as breakfast was over? I considered pulling food from my lunch box to snack on. As soon as Mom picked me up from school? My first question was always, “What are we having for dinner?” When it’s happening you hate the constant internal chatter, but it feels damn near impossible to stop. If that’s you right now, I’m going to tell you what I told my client inside The Club. We have to get to the root of WHY we’re obsessing and fix THAT. Here are some places to start: 1. Your nutritional needs aren’t being met. If you aren’t getting the nutrients you need - either because your diet is lacking or because you aren’t absorbing them - your brain is going to keep seeking food. 2. Your emotional needs aren’t being met. If food is the main source of joy in your day of course you’re going to fixate on it. 3. Hypothyroidism. This was a big piece of my preoccupation with food. When your thyroid isn’t working well, it impacts your blood sugar and energy levels, driving you to constantly eat to keep going. It affects your mood, pushing you to reach for food to cope. It can disrupt your satiety signals, making you feel hungry even after you just ate. And it can cause those nutritional imbalances we mentioned. Hopefully one of those 3 is jumping out at you. But it’s one thing to know your root cause, it’s another to know what to do ABOUT your root cause. And it’s another thing still to get yourself to DO the thing you’re supposed to do about your root cause. If you need help with any of the above, comment ‘START’. I’ll send you some info on how I can help (either with 1:1 coaching, one of my programs, or even with free support via my podcast). #ThyroidHealing #HypothyroidismHelp #ThyroidSupport #FoodObsessionHelp #WhyAmIHungryAllTheTime #FixMyThyroid #ThyroidWeightStruggles #EmotionalEatingHelp #HypothyroidismDiet #MindfulEatingTips #ThyroidSymptoms #ThyroidFatigue #ThyroidAndHunger #HolisticThyroidCare #ThyroidNutrition
