So be sure to (FOLLOW) if you love bucket list travel experiences 🤩 I'm currently in Kruger National Park on safari in South Africa - and this might just be the most incredible bucket list experience of my entire trip! ➡️ To help YOU achieve your bucket list, here are TIPS on how to see LIONS while on safari in Kruger, South Africa: 🦁 Hire a LOCAL & knowledgable guide for Kruger instead of self-driving 🦁 Visit Kruger between May and September (DRY season - easier to see wildlife through the dry foliage) 🦁 Visit earlier in the day and/or right before the park closes in early evening, when the animals are more active 🦁 Spend MULTIPLE days in the park - lions are NOT guaranteed, so more visits = more chances! 🦁 Have patience and a little bit of luck! 2025 is the year we learn to take epic photos 🤩📸 (TLDR: follow me for epic travel photo tips!) Going on safari is THE bucket-list trip, and I would ALWAYS recommend renting or buying a good camera + zoom lens for this kind of a trip - if it's your ONE time to see incredible African wildlife, you want to do it justice! Fun fact - I got my VERY first DSLR camera for this exact reason! I was going on a family trip to Tanzania and I begged my parents endlessly for a quality camera because I KNEW that if this was my only chance to visit Africa, I wanted to take the best photos I could. I spent an entire summer learning how to shoot in manual for that trip, and that one choice has led me down the most amazing path to being in South Africa today, with my @sonyalpha, taking bucket-list photos. You don't need the latest and greatest camera (mine is 5+ years old at this point!), but to take epic photos you just need to START. So let this be your sign to invest in your SKILLS and start learning and practicing TODAY! Send this to who you want to safari with! 💛 Here's even more of what you NEED to know ⬇️ In addition to everything I listed in the video of all the things I WISH I knew before going on safari, here are even more tips to help YOU have your dream bucket list trip: 6) You'll be up super early and super late, so plan on rest days before and after your safari! 7) Most universal plug adapters actually do NOT work on safari in Kruger National Park, South Africa, so make sure you buy type "M". 8) You won't be able to leave the vehicle, including using the toilet - you'll have to wait for a designated rest stop. 9) You'll need to wear NEUTRAL colored clothes (tan, light brown) so you don't attract attention from wildlife or bugs (no blacks, pure whites, or reds!), and you'll want comfortable shoes for the long days, long pants to avoid being bitten by insects, a jacket for the cold, and a hat and sunscreen for sun protection. 10) You're likely going to come into close proximity with wild animals - you need to stay calm, keep your voice to a whisper (if you MUST talk), move slowly, and do NOT reach outside of the vehicle for any reason. ➡️ Found this video helpful?
