Just 2.5 weeks. That’s all it took. My client came to me overwhelmed, dealing with constant chaos, with her daughter being terrified of the puppy. She couldn’t even sit on the couch without getting bit. When she tried to cook dinner she was chasing her puppy around 2.5 weeks later and her puppy lays by her feet while she cooks, She can cuddle him, pet him, relax, and have time for herself, something she felt was impossible two weeks ago Here’s what we did (and what you need to be doing too) ➡️
#1: Meeting your puppy’s mental & physical exercise needs
Every puppy has different energetic requirements. If you don’t balance mental + physical exercise at the right times, you get a puppy that’s biting, getting into things, and never “calms down” For Marley, we customized his routine to work with his energy level ➡️
#2: Creating a predictable routine
A consistent routine isn’t enough. Predictability is the key. If your days feel chaotic, you’re constantly redirecting, saying “ah ah,” , it’s because your puppy doesn’t know what to expect. And when they don’t know what to expect, they struggle to calm down ➡️
#3: Teaching what TO do instead of biting
Your puppy comes to you already knowing that biting = attention (it worked on their mom and siblings). So if all you’re doing is redirecting to a toy or ignoring them, and they don’t actually understand what else to do, they’ll just keep biting ➡️
#4: Training them to be OK with boredom
If your puppy loses their mind anytime you’re not entertaining them, they don’t know how to just be. If you want to cook dinner, help your kids with homework, or just breathe without your puppy barking at you for attention or getting into things, this is the missing piece This wasn’t magic. My client wasn’t just lucky. She tried for weeks on her own with no progress. 2.5 weeks of my 1:1 customized training, me supporting her (and continuing to) daily, and well, the progress speaks for itself If you’re done trying to figure this out alone, my 1:1 online puppy training program is for you.
